This salmon is roasted in the oven under the broiler and only takes a whopping 10 minutes. It has a deliciously sweet, light maple glaze that works with just about any side. We ate it with regular baked potatoes and roasted Brussels Sprouts. I think next time I’ll bake up some sweet potatoes. I think the sweetness of the potato will be a great compliment to the glaze. Ingredients

  • Maple syrup icon

  • Hoisin sauce icon
    Hoisin sauce

  • Dijon mustard icon
    Dijon mustard
    1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper icon
    Cayenne pepper
    ¼ teaspoon

    ½ teaspoon

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat in broiler - 232°C
  2. Add maple syrup, hoisin sauce, dijon mustard, cayenne pepper and black pepper to a clean small bowl
  3. Stir well with tablespoon until combined
  4. Grease a clean baking sheet
  5. Add salmon filet
  6. Transfer half of mixture to fish and reserve the rest
  7. Broil in broiler - 5 min, 232°C
  8. Brush fish with mixture lightly
  9. Broil in broiler until flaky - approx 5 min, 232°C
  10. Transfer the rest of the maple mixture to baking sheet
  11. Serve immediately
