Making your own homemade mustard is so easy and versatile. Learn how to make it your own with these step by step instructions. Our preferred mustard seed combination is half white and half brown. White seeds are the most mellow so if you want a stronger mustard, add more brown. The strength of the flavour is also increased the more you break up the seeds during the blending step. I like mine very mild, so I don't process it very much. Do not sample the mustard on the first day after it is put in the fridge. It needs a day for the flavours to smooth out a bit. This mustard will store in the fridge for up to a year. If you add other herbs, etc. the shelf life may be shorter.
