Step preview

  1. Add the apples to a cutting board
  2. Cut the apples in half
  3. Using a sharp knife cut a square around the core of the apple. Do not cut to the bottom of the apple
  4. Using a spoon scoop out the core
  5. Add the apple halves to a microwave-safe dish skin side down
  6. Cover the dish with a microwave-safe lid or saran wrap
  7. Microwave on high for 5 mins
  8. In a medium bowl add the oats, pecans, raisins, cinnamon, butter and maple syrup
  9. Mix everything together until combined
  10. When apples are done in the microwave, carefully remove the lid
  11. Fill the holes in the apples with the oat and pecan mix
  12. Broil on high for 5 mins
  13. Once broiled, remove and serve apple halves with yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup
