Fritters are also the perfect way to use up leftover veggies, so be creative, add in anything you have hiding in the back of the fridge as long as it doesn’t resemble a science experiment! The Miso Butter is not essential, but it does bring something a little extra to your late night foodie game!

Step preview

  1. Miso Butter:
  2. Place spring onions into the Thermomix bowl
  3. Chop 3 seconds/speed 6
  4. Remove from bowl and set aside
  5. Add butter, miso paste and turmeric to the Thermomix bowl
  6. Blend 10 seconds/speed 6
  7. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  8. Add black pepper oil
  9. Blend 10 seconds/speed 6
  10. Add chopped spring onions and stir through 4 seconds/speed 6
  11. Scrape out onto baking paper and roll into a sausage, wrap and refrigerate until use
  12. Fritters:
  13. Place onion and EVOO into the Thermomix bowl
  14. Chop 4 seconds/speed 5
  15. Saute 5 minutes/Varoma/speed 1/MC off
  16. Add all remaining ingredients except miso butter
  17. Combine 10 seconds/ Reverse/speed 2
  18. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  19. Finish combining with spatula. You want it to be nice and chunky, and not overly smooth
  20. Heat a frying pan to a medium heat
  21. Melt a tablespoon of miso butter until fragrant and sizzling
  22. Place heaped tablespoons of mixture into the hot pan and cook until browned on both sides
  23. Repeat and add more butter as required
  24. Serve immediately with more miso butter
