Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  2. Add butter to a clean saucepan
  3. Cook until simmering while stirring occasionally - medium heat
  4. Transfer to a small bowl so it won't continue to cook and burn
  5. Let cool - approx 25 min
  6. Add all purpose flour, ground cinnamon, baking soda, cornstarch, rolled oats and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  7. Mix until combined
  8. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar to a clean medium bowl
  9. Transfer butter to medium bowl
  10. Whisk together
  11. Add egg and vanilla extract and whisk until combined
  12. Transfer dry ingredients to medium bowl
  13. Add chocolate chips
  14. Mix together until well combined
  15. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  16. Scoop content of medium bowl onto baking sheet
  17. Bake until just set - 10 min, 175°C
  18. Transfer onto cooling rack
