- Chicken stock
- 300 ml

- Dry vermouth
- 60 ml

- Tarragon
- 2 sprigs

- 3 tablespoons

Medium cast iron skillet
Step preview
- Add olive oil and butter to a clean medium cast iron skillet
- Heat
- Add chicken breast to the medium cast iron skillet
- Fry until just cooked - high heat
- Drain
- Get a clean slow cooker bowl
- Place content of medium cast iron skillet on slow cooker bowl
- Add shallot to the medium cast iron skillet
- Cook until light golden - 5 min
- Stir in all purpose flour to the medium cast iron skillet
- Mix in chicken stock and dry vermouth to the medium cast iron skillet gradually
- Add tarragon and salt & pepper to the medium cast iron skillet
- Boil
- Retrieve slow cooker bowl
- Pour content of medium cast iron skillet into slow cooker bowl and cover
- Cook in slow cooker until cooked through - 4 hr, high heat
- Add fresh chives, tarragon and heavy cream to the slow cooker bowl
- Serve
