At Christmas time, for example, you’ll see a bowl of peeled garlic put under the table to offer everyone strength and protection. Step preview

  1. Add butter and garlic to a clean large saucepan
  2. Sauté until fragrant - approx 1 min
  3. Add onion, caraway seeds, sea salt and black pepper to a clean small bowl
  4. Transfer onion mixture to large saucepan
  5. Sauté until softened - approx 1 min
  6. Add vegetable stock to the large saucepan
  7. Heat until boiling
  8. Add potatoes
  9. Simmer until tender - 15 min
  10. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  11. Add rustic french bread, olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, black pepper and sea salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  12. Toss until coated
  13. Transfer to baking sheet
  14. Bake until golden brown - 10 min, 175°C
  15. Add parmesan cheese
  16. Garnish with bread and fresh parsley
