Not only are they so much better than store-bought versions, they can be made ahead of time and frozen. That will ensure that you always have a stock of delicious homemade corn tortillas.

  • Masa harina icon

    270 g
  • Salt icon
    Salt
    ΒΌ teaspoon
  • Water icon

    240 ml

Step preview

  1. Add masa harina and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Stir water into the dough
  3. Cover with plastic wrap - 30 min
  4. Divide into balls then set aside
  5. Flatten gently
  6. Line with plastic wrap
  7. Press one by one onto Tortilla press
  8. Pre-heat a clean medium cast iron skillet - 10 min, medium heat
  9. Fry one by one - 1 min, medium heat
  10. Cook each side - 2 min, high heat
  11. Keep warm with kitchen towel
  12. Serve
