Step preview
- Grease a clean madeleine pan generously
- Add all purpose flour, baking powder and cocoa powder to a clean medium bowl then set aside
- Add egg and granulated sugar to a clean large mixing bowl
- Beat until fluffy - medium speed
- Add unsalted butter to a clean medium glass bowl
- Melt - low heat
- Add honey, vanilla extract and milk to the medium glass bowl and mix
- Transfer honey syrup to the large bowl with eggs
- Mix batter until combined - medium speed
- Sift dry ingredients into batter gradually while mixing
- Add chocolate chips
- Chill in fridge - 30 min
- Pre-heat oven - 200°C
- Spoon batter into madeleine pan
- Bake until golden brown and springy to touch - 6 min, 200°C
- Turn out onto cooling rack
