- 1 teaspoon

- Cream of tartar
- 2 ½ teaspoons

- Icing sugar
- 450 g

- Cocoa powder
- 50 g

- Butter
- 1 tablespoon

- Milk
- 120 ml

- Unsweetened shredded coconut
- 200 g

Step preview
- Pre-heat oven - 175°C
- Add golden caster sugar, salt, all purpose flour and cornflour to a clean large mixing bowl
- Mix together then set aside
- Add egg white, water, almond extract and cream of tartar to a clean stand mixer bowl
- Whisk - approx 5 sec, low speed
- Whisk until foamy and continue - medium speed
- Add golden caster sugar to the stand mixer bowl gradually and continue mixing
- Transfer content of large mixing bowl to stand mixer bowl bit by bit
- Fold until combined
- Transfer content of stand mixer bowl to tube pan
- Bake until browned at edges - 35 min, 175°C
- Let cool on round wire rack
- Remove onto cooling rack
- Add icing sugar and cocoa powder to a clean large mixing bowl
- Add butter and milk to a clean saucepan
- Heat until melted
- Transfer content of saucepan to large mixing bowl
- Mix until thickened
- Frost
- Decorate with unsweetened shredded coconut
