Step preview

  1. Add onion, egg, canned black beans, canned chickpeas, chili powder and salt to a clean food processor bowl
  2. Pulse until combined
  3. Transfer the rest of content of food processor bowl to large mixing bowl
  4. Add panko breadcrumbs, mozzarella cheese and fresh parsley to the large mixing bowl
  5. Fold until combined
  6. Split into eighths then set aside
  7. Add frying oil to a clean frying pan
  8. Heat - medium-high heat
  9. Transfer half of content of large mixing bowl to frying pan
  10. Panfry until browned then set aside - approx 10 min, medium-high heat
  11. Transfer the rest of content of large mixing bowl to frying pan
  12. Panfry until browned then set aside - approx 10 min, medium-high heat
  13. Serve
