There are few things as comforting as a fish pie and this simple version is extra creamy and cheesy.

Ingredients

- Cheddar cheese

- 50 g

- 300 g

- Whitefish filet
- 300 g

- Milk
- 500 ml

- Cake flour
- 4 tablespoons

- 50 g

- Cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons

Step preview
- Add milk, cake flour and butter to a clean large saucepan
- Heat until boiling - medium heat
- Whisk quickly until thick - approx 2 min
- Add cheddar cheese and blue cheese to the cheese mixture
- Stir until melted then set aside
- Add cornstarch and salt & pepper to a clean large mixing bowl
- Coat
- Add fennel bulb, green peppercorns, leek, dill, fresh parsley and salt to a clean food processor bowl
- Blend until fine
- Transfer content of food processor bowl to glass baking dish
- Add prawns and whitefish filet to the glass baking dish
- Get
- Mix in slightly
- Add peas to the glass baking dish
- Transfer half of cheese mixture to glass baking dish
- Spread loosely
- Layer with potato
- Transfer cheese mixture to glass baking dish
- Spread
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
- Bake until light golden - 30 min, 221°C
- Bake until cooked through - 30 min, 179°C
- Let cool
- Serve
