Step preview

  1. Add basmati rice to the simmering basket
  2. Stir through saffron threads, ground turmeric and salt flakes with a fork. Insert into Thermomix bowl
  3. Pour the water over the top until you can just see it when tipping the Thermomix bowl on an angle
  4. Steam - 14 min, 100°C, speed 4
  5. Fluff rice with a fork
  6. Serve with the chopped mint and chillies
