Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Add shortening, butter, sugar and egg to a clean medium bowl
  3. Mix thoroughly
  4. Add plain flour, cream of tartar, bicarbonate of soda and salt to the dough balls
  5. Mix until dough forms
  6. Form into balls
  7. Add sugar and ground cinnamon to a clean small bowl
  8. Roll dough balls in small bowl thoroughly until coated
  9. Transfer dough balls to baking sheet
  10. Bake until light golden - 8 min, 200°C
  11. Let cool on round wire rack
  12. Serve
