Homemade burgers beat shop-bought every time, and this spiced up version is no different. These burgers are packed with heat so choose cooling toppings such as sour cream and avocado and serve with sweet potato fries for perfectly balanced flavors.

Step preview

  1. Add minced beef, red onion, green chilli, coriander, egg, chipotle chilli powder, red tabasco and breadcrumbs to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Season with salt & pepper
  3. Form into rounds then set aside
  4. Add sunflower oil to a clean frying pan
  5. Transfer meat to frying pan
  6. Cook each side - 4 min, medium heat
  7. Let rest - approx 5 min
  8. Arrange burger bun, tomato salsa and avocado in the frying pan
