This simple spring pasta dish will keep the whole family happy. Mint adds freshness to the creamy sauce. Broad beans are also known as fava beans in some areas.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat in grill - high heat
  2. Add water and salt to a clean large saucepan
  3. Boil
  4. Add penne to the pasta
  5. Cook until al dente
  6. Add asparagus to a clean baking sheet
  7. Brush with olive oil
  8. Season with salt & pepper
  9. Broil in grill - approx 8 min, high heat
  10. Add water and salt to a clean saucepan
  11. Boil
  12. Add broad bean to the beans
  13. Cook - 2 min, high heat
  14. Drain
  15. Drain pasta
  16. Add double cream to the pasta
  17. Transfer beans to pasta
  18. Transfer roasted vegetables to pasta
  19. Add parmesan cheese and mint leaves to the pasta
  20. Season to taste
  21. Serve
