Step preview

  1. Add olive oil and butter to a clean medium cast iron skillet
  2. Heat
  3. Add chicken breast to the medium cast iron skillet
  4. Fry until just cooked - high heat
  5. Drain
  6. Get a clean slow cooker bowl
  7. Place content of medium cast iron skillet on slow cooker bowl
  8. Add shallot to the medium cast iron skillet
  9. Cook until light golden - 5 min
  10. Stir in plain flour to the medium cast iron skillet
  11. Mix in chicken stock and dry vermouth to the medium cast iron skillet gradually
  12. Add tarragon and salt & pepper to the medium cast iron skillet
  13. Boil
  14. Retrieve slow cooker bowl
  15. Pour content of medium cast iron skillet into slow cooker bowl and cover
  16. Cook in slow cooker until cooked through - 4 hr, high heat
  17. Add fresh chives, tarragon and heavy cream to the slow cooker bowl
  18. Serve
