Succulent slow-cooked ribs with a sweet, sticky maple glaze. Serve family-style with homemade coleslaw for a satisfying dinner. (And don't forget the napkins!)

- 120 ml

Step preview
- Add pork ribs, onion, carrot, bay leaves, malt vinegar, black peppercorns and salt to a clean slow cooker bowl
- Add water to the meat
- Cook in slow cooker until tender - 7 hr, high heat
- Line a clean baking pan with foil
- Once cooked transfer ribs to the baking pan
- Broil in grill - high heat
- Add English mustard, allspice, tomato purée, brown sugar and maple syrup to a clean medium bowl
- Mix 2/3 cup of hot stock reserved from the slow cooker bowl
- Spoon glaze into baking pan
- Broil in grill until browned - 15 min, high heat
- Add sweetcorn kernels, carrot, plain yogurt, red cabbage, mayonnaise and scallion to a clean medium bowl
- Serve ribs with the salad
