Black bean sauce is a real crowd pleaser. This version is cooked in the slow cooker, meaning you can pop all the ingredients into your slow cooker before you go to work and come up to a deliciously warming meal.

- 4 tablespoons

- Black bean sauce
- 120 g

- Black pepper

- 1 tablespoon

Step preview
- Place pork fillet on a clean baking dish
- Add cornflour and soy sauce to a clean small bowl
- Mix into a fine paste with tablespoon
- Add ginger, garlic clove, black bean sauce and black pepper to the marinade
- Mix with tablespoon until well combined
- Retrieve pork
- Pour marinade into pork
- Cover with plastic wrap
- Marinate overnight
- Get a clean slow cooker bowl
- Transfer pork to slow cooker bowl
- Add chicken stock to the slow cooker bowl and cover
- Cook in slow cooker then reduce heat - 30 min, high heat
- Cook in slow cooker until cooked through - 8 hr, low heat
- Heat sunflower oil to a clean large cast iron skillet
- Add mixed vegetables to the large cast iron skillet
- Fry until tender
- Transfer content of slow cooker bowl to 4 serving plates
- Transfer vegetables to 4 serving plates
- Serve
