This simple recipe is so good that once you've tried it once you'll want to make homemade buns instead of buy them whenever you have the time. This recipe makes four large, five medium sized, or you could make eight mini slider size buns.

Step preview

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add milk and active dried yeast to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  5. Heat with filler cap removed - approx 2 min, 30°C, speed 5
  6. Then add bread flour, unsalted butter, sugar, salt and egg to the kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap removed - 15 sec, speed 7
  8. Mix with filler cap removed - 3 min, speed 10
  9. Remove midi blade from kCook bowl
  10. Heat with filler cap fitted - 1 hr, 30°C
  11. Transfer content of kCook bowl to lightly floured surface
  12. Divide into 6 equal pieces
  13. Shape into rounds
  14. Transfer dough to baking sheet
  15. Cover with kitchen towel
  16. Let rise until doubled - approx 1 hr
  17. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  18. Brush with egg
  19. Sprinkle with sesame seeds
  20. Bake until golden brown - 12 min, 180°C
  21. Cool onto cooling rack
  22. Slice into halves
  23. Serve
