This lemonade is one of my favorites. Fresh squeezed lemons makes it taste like you're drinking pure sunshine in a glass. The lavender is calming and adds a unique flavor without overpowering the lemon. Also delicious with a shot (3/4 cup for full batch) of vodka or gin for a summertime party for grown-ups.

Step preview

  1. Add water and granulated sugar to a clean saucepan
  2. Heat until boiling
  3. Simmer until sugar has dissolved and turn off heat
  4. Mix in lavender to the syrup
  5. Let cool completely
  6. Strain with sieve then set aside
  7. Add lemon and water to a clean carafe
  8. Add syrup
  9. Fill with ice
  10. Stir well
