Step preview

  1. Grease 2 clean loaf pans
  2. Add water and active dried yeast to a clean large mixing bowl; stir until dissolved
  3. Add all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, honey, canola oil and sea salt
  4. Mix until smooth
  5. Add sunflower seeds and whole wheat flour to the dough
  6. Knead until springy to touch - approx 7 min
  7. Grease mixing bowl and turn the dough in the bowl to coat
  8. Leave until doubled - 1 hr
  9. Punch down and divide into halves
  10. Form two loafs
  11. Transfer to the loaf pans and cover
  12. Let rise - approx 30 min
  13. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  14. Bake until golden brown - 35 min, 175°C
  15. Brush with unsalted butter
  16. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds
  17. Transfer onto cooling rack
