Step preview

  1. Add butter and white sugar to a clean medium bowl
  2. Cream until smooth
  3. Add water and vanilla extract to the medium bowl and mix
  4. Mix until smooth
  5. Sift white flour into the medium bowl
  6. Add nuts to the medium bowl and mix
  7. Roll the dough into sausages and chill in the fridge for 4 hours
  8. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  9. Slice dough into inch-thick disks and shape into rough balls
  10. Place 2 inches apart onto unprepared cookie sheets
  11. Bake - 12 min, 160°C
  12. Remove when golden and transfer to wire rack to cool
  13. Dust with/roll in confectioners' sugar while still warm
