Step preview

  1. Whisk together everything except the bread
  2. Pour the mixture over the bread
  3. Let it soak in for a few minutes
  4. Spray a round pan with cooking spray
  5. Pour the whole mixture into the pan and cover it with tin foil
  6. Put 1 1/2 cups water in the Instant Pot
  7. Put the pudding on the trivet in the IP
  8. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing
  9. Push the Pressure Cook (or Manual) button and use the + or – button to get to 25 minutes
  10. When it beeps that it's done, leave it for a 10-minute natural release
  11. Then flip the valve from Sealing to Venting for a quick release of any remaining pressure and when the pin drops, open the pot
  12. Lift the pudding out and remove its “tin foil hat”
  13. Leave it to cool on the counter for a few minutes
  14. Then invert onto a plate
  15. Serve warm or chilled with whipped cream, ice cream or caramel sauce
