Step preview

  1. Place potatoes, onions, lemon juice, salt, black pepper into a mixing bowl
  2. Chop 12 sec/speed 5 with aid of spatula
  3. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  4. Add the remaining potato cake ingredients
  5. Mix for 10 seconds / speed 4
  6. Pour frying oil into a hot non-stick frying pan, covering the base with a thin layer
  7. Heat over medium heat
  8. Seperate the mixture into about 12 potato cakes
  9. Cover both sides of each pancake with a small amount of flour
  10. Place 2 heaped Tbsp of mixture per potato cake into the pan and using a spoon, flatten each heap to form a pancake shape (10 cm)
  11. Fry potato cakes on both sides until golden brown and crisp
  12. Drain on paper towels
  13. Serve hot with optional creme fraiche and cheddar cheese
