Step preview

  1. Add your peeled potatoes to a large microwave safe bowl
  2. Cover the potatoes with tap water and place a microwave safe plate or clingfilm on top
  3. Microwave on high for 8 mins
  4. Drain potatoes into a colander or sieve
  5. Pour a generous drizzle of vegetable oil over the potatoes. Let any access oil drip through the colander
  6. Shake the potatoes in the colander to get a light coating of oil all over, and to slightly rough up the outer edges of the potatoes
  7. Lightly oil the air fryer basket using a spray oil or brush
  8. Add the potatoes in a single layer to the air fryer basket
  9. Air fry for 20 mins
  10. After 20 mins turn and air fry for a further 10 until they have become golden
  11. Serve straight away with some butter and salt
