Step preview

  1. In a small bowl add the oil, vinegar, honey, salt and pepper
  2. Whisk to combine
  3. Add the onions, figs and walnuts to the enamel tray
  4. Pour half of the honey vinegar mixture onto the enamel tray and using your hands mix everything to get an even coating
  5. Arrange everything in a single layer
  6. Add the enamel tray onto the wire rack
  7. Broil for 12 mins
  8. Gently turn or mix the ingredients and broil for a further 3 mins
  9. To a large salad bowl add 2 large handfuls of mixed leaves
  10. Add the broiled ingredients to the mixed leaves and crumble on the blue cheese
  11. Gently toss, taste and add more of the dressing if needed
  12. Serve straight away
