Step preview

  1. Add the ground beef, spices and oil to a microwave-safe dish and season with some salt and pepper
  2. Mix well to combine
  3. Microwave on high for 1.5 mins
  4. Mix well, using a fork to break up the beef into small pieces
  5. Return to microwave and microwave on high for 1.5 mins
  6. Add a generous layer of tortilla chips to the enamel tray
  7. Layer the beef on top, along with a layer of black beans and jalapenos
  8. Sprinkle a generous layer of grated cheese over the tortilla chips and beef
  9. Prepare the wire rack
  10. Place the enamel tray on top of the wire rack and broil on high for 8 mins
  11. Dollop the sour cream and guacamole onto the middle of the loaded nachos
  12. Add fresh cilantro and some lime wedges
  13. Serve immediately
