Step preview

  1. Add the oil to the inner pot
  2. Pre-heat inner pot on Sauté, High
  3. Once the inner pot has pre-heated add the butter, onions, salt, sugar and thyme
  4. Sauté for 10 mins mixing every once in a while
  5. Now add the brandy, pepper, stock cube and mi to melt the cube
  6. Secure the lid onto the Instant Pot Pro Plus
  7. Pressure Cook for 12 mins on Max with quick pressure release
  8. Once the pressure has been released carefully remove the lid
  9. Add water to the inner pot and mix to combine
  10. Set the Instant Pot Pro Plus to Sauté for 2 mins
  11. While the Instant Pot Pro Plus is heating add the gruyére to the baguette slices and broil until cheese has melted
  12. Once the cheese has melted serve the soup in a bowl with the cheesy baguette on top
