This quick to prepare stuffing is full of flavour and easy to make. You can even make it ahead of time to save even more hassle on christmas day, just prep everything as is in the recipe but skip the last step of broiling until ready to serve

Step preview

  1. Roughly tear up the bread and add it to the food processor
  2. Blitz until you have breadcrumbs and add them to a mixing bowl
  3. To a microwave safe dish add the onions, salt, thyme and butter
  4. Microwave on High for 4 mins
  5. Mix and microwave for a further 2 mins
  6. Add the onion butter to the breadcrumbs and mix well so everything gets an even butter coating
  7. Taste and add more seasoning if needed
  8. Add the breadcrumb mixture to a heat safe dish
  9. Place the dish onto the wire rack and Broil on Broil 1 for 10 mins
  10. Serve warm
