Step preview

  1. Add all purpose flour, baking soda and kosher salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Whisk evenly then set aside
  3. Add granulated sugar, egg and vanilla extract to a clean stand mixer bowl
  4. Mix until pale and light - approx 5 min, medium speed
  5. Add brown sugar and unsalted butter to the mixture
  6. Mix until combined - approx 15 sec, medium speed
  7. Transfer dry ingredients to mixture
  8. Mix carefully until just combined - approx 15 sec, low speed
  9. Add semisweet chocolate to the mixture
  10. Mix carefully until dough forms and cover - approx 15 sec, low speed
  11. Refrigerate in fridge - approx 5 hr
  12. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  13. Transfer mixture to baking sheet into balls
  14. Bake until light golden and let cool - approx 13 min, 160°C, middle rack
