Cooking doesn’t get much easier than this. Pillowy gnocchi needs nothing more than a classic sage and pine nut butter to create an indulgent meal in minutes. Sprinkle over plenty of freshly grated Parmesan and add a green salad to complete the meal.

Step preview

  1. Add water to a clean large saucepan
  2. Season with salt lightly
  3. Heat until boiling
  4. Add gnocchi
  5. Cook - approx 3 min
  6. Add unsalted butter to a clean frying pan
  7. Heat until foamy - medium heat
  8. Add fresh sage and pine nuts
  9. Cook until golden brown - approx 1 min
  10. Drain large saucepan
  11. Transfer gnocchi to frying pan
  12. Toss until combined
  13. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
  14. Season with black pepper generously
